20gal stock list...

otos...I saw those they look cool...but are they common?and how much would a 30 gallon filter cost compared to like a 20 gallon filter... :confused:

allright I think I'll do that instead of the 20 gallon filter I want as many tetras as possible I love the way they like school together and stuff.....

::EDIT::
no...actually with those 6 extra schooling fish I will be able to get...I think I'll get 7 cloud minnows and 7 neon tetras... :dance:

I have only 3 corys and they are doing great. They intermingle with my 2 dojos and occasionally interact with the guppies. I don't quite know why you would need 4 or more. My guys are fine on their own or together.

that sounds good except that I never really liked the way corys look I just thought they were the only small catfish comonly available I looked at plecos but the common type gets hugeomongo...

hey diego,

here's the filter currently running on my 20 gal. http://bigalsonline.com/catalog/product.xml?product_id=22165;category_id=1721;pcid1=2885;pcid2=

now keep in mind that adding the number of fish as i suggested before is only if you have a 20 gal. long (30''x12.5''x13'') because of the shape of the tank. in a regular 20gal tank I would not advise adding the 2nd group of schooling fish.

p.s. if the tank isn't set up yet and it's not a "long" model, take it to your LFS and ask about swapping...they did it for me at petco :D

Well I don't have one yet..(i know kinda late huh?) but my dad said that he'll probablly not be able to get one in time for xmas but I don't really mind...because he said that he'llask my uncle to make it so it'll probablly a lot bigger than 20 gallons..... :dance: :dance: :dance:

bigger tank? Sounds great! :dance: if you do get a bigger tank do a little research and pick some more fish.

give us a list of what you would like to have and we'll be happy to help you out!

thanks ddayton21 I will do that... :rolleyes: but I was wondering if I get like a 30 gallon do you think my bedroom floor will hold it?? it'll weigh like 300 pounds!

I'm putting a 65 gallon and a 36 gallon in my son's bedroom. He currently has a 20g. A 30 gallon should be fine.

Btw, the "inch per gallon" rule isn't a very valid way of figuring out how much fish to stock. It doesn't take into account fish mass or water column preference.

If' you are just going to stock little fish that are all neon tetra sized and shaped and swim in the middle of the tank, it works fine :)
