210 Gallon In Wall Build

Don't you hate it when one of your other tanks is in the path of progress. I have to move the sump for the 40 zoo tank in order to start working on the framing for the stand for the 210. I need to pick up some plastic to cover the tanks while cutting on the wall too.

I want to get this project done soon because I'm tired of the tank sitting in the middle of the fish room.

Nolapete, i had shelves like the one in your fish room pic to the extreme right. i doubled up on the shelf medium and still had sagging to the point where i didnt feel safe for (2) 10 gal tanks. what tanks do you use on your shelf?

idea looks great so far. i wish u success

You didn't have the kind I do then. They are called Z Bar shelving and will support 1500 lbs. per shelf.

What most people don't get is that it's not the shelf board in the middle that supports the weight. The weight of all of my tanks is on the two steel bars. I put 1x2 lumber across from front to back and set the tank on those.

One shelf rack has a 29 (up until today it had a 20 long) on the top, 7 10 gallon tanks on the second shelf, and a 90 gallon on the bottom shelf.

The other rack has a 40 long on the top, 90 one the middle shelf, and a 75 on the bottom shelf.

All the tanks are shown in the pics on my post My Fish Inventory.
