good thing about having a big tank is you can stock alot and a vast array of fish, bad part is when they hide its looks like a bare tank, I have a brittle star that is HUGE!!! have seen him once in the past 2 months, I guess thats another thing that is cool about owning a big tank, you put in something small never see it again, then when you finally do its gotten bigger!!!!! Gets some small emeral crabs youll know what im talking about in a month or two :D :grinyes:
I was looking at some emerald crabs....now I have this image of a giant claw reaching from behind the rocks in 2 months and picking off my fish one by one....

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for picking the color...but it was my wife's pick. The blue with the white trim and oak floor works really well.
Your tank in the wall is awesome, btw.

I had blue rooms when I was a kid, some day it might happen again :) My inthewall tank was one of my most fun projects. To come up with the idea and then see it finished was pretty amazing. Did it as a DIY project.

I haven't posted any photos in awhile, so I thought I'd snap a few before my new hermits vanish into the abyss. I have added some LR rubble to my wet/dry filter and now have two large(ish) hermits and about 12 small hermits. There is a slight algae outbreak...some hair algae and some red slimy stuff....but I'm working on it. And another picture of my blenny.

Wow nice looking tank, how much water flow do you have going through your sump?
Thanks! It still has a long way to go, but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.
The return pump is Eheim 1250 that's rated around 325gph I think.

Much better pic of one of my hermits eyeballing the camera.

Thanks! What a pile of work...but I enjoy it more than I ever thought I would. Funny, my brother tried to give my wife and I this setup for years when he was alive...it's a shame he never got to see it again with life in it.
Here are a few additions today...a really nice guy at one of the local LFSs gave me a couple of small pieces of LR from his tank at home to try and get some coraline going, and I bought a wad of chaeto algae today. At least I think that's what he said it was...
Thanks!!
