Great looking tank, Robbie.

I would personally put in just LITTLE more LR considering the size of the tank, but I can only imagine how much $$$ you've already spent on those you have in there. Haha.

Thanks! I'm slooooowwly adding to my LR here and there. The tank came with about 300lbs of base rock that I really wanted to use in the set up so my plan is to seed it with strategically placed new LR (so far I've added about 20lbs). And I added 60lbs of live sand to my 110lbs of dead sand.
And I have spent a crapload more than I ever thought I would. But, I already had the tank, wet/dry filter, and base rock, so I'm probably still ahead on $$$ considering.

Much better pic of one of my hermits eyeballing the camera.

Hahaha. Love the picture.

Great looking tank. Maybe when I own a home I can have something that caliber :perv:

Thanks! It's nice to have something in the tank that's not too shy. My sally lightfoot crabs have yet to be seen in the open:mad2:
College life....I took a year off......in 1990:rofl:

I just read everything and that is amazing.

All looking great..You do seem to have some red cyano building up in there....what flow do you have in the tank? and are you showing anything out of the norm on your water test results?

I have a Koralia #3, 2 MJ1200s, a mystery powerhead that feels more powerful than the MJ1200, my Eheim 1250 return pump, and my Magnum 350 canister which is rated at something like 325gph I think. It's probably at the minimum for flow for this size tank (I did the math once and it came out to something like 12x before I added the mystery powerhead).
I really haven't found anything really off as far as tests...ammonia and nitrites are at 0, PH is 8.4, SG is 1.022, temp is at 79-80F. My tap water tested phosphates at .25ppm, so I added some Pura Phoslock to my canister filter two days ago. I also just added the chaeto algae on Saturday.
I tried using the vacuum attachment for my Magnum, but it seemed to powerful and wanted to pull a ton of sand into the filter. I need to try it with just siphon power when I do my water change.
Any suggestions? I know I can up the flow....will this alone take care of it? Also I have no snails....just some hermits.
Thanks!!

Here are my new additions. I added one a few days after the first, so I was a little concerned about fighting, but they buddied up just fine. The little one (Pipsqueak) who was added second actually snapped a piece of food out of the big one's (Shakes the Clown) mouth...so I'm not sure who is the dominant one at this point.
