240 gallon

And it all depends on what type of plecos, and the catchall "fish" you're talking about. Different species grow different sizes and contribute more to the bio-load than others.

What type of tetras? Some would be fine with a black ghost knife, others would be knife snacks.

If you kept with plecos that stay under 6" or so, you could add a few more. If you get big plecos that get over 12" or so, that will fill up your bioload FAST.

If you stuck with small fish and only a few species, you could do HUGE schools in a 240. You could do probably 100 or so tetras and like 30-50 cories or other small bottom dwellers. Depending on what species you go with, that tank could hold anywhere between 1 and 300+ fish

Yes, in terms of space and Bio-load you can get a Ghost Knife fish, Please research the species you are interested in, in doing so you would find out that the knife fish is a predatory fish and will eat tankmates it can fit in it's mouth. You would also find that these fishes are rather large and the threshold of fish that it will be able to eat is fairly large.
