I thought I would try a low light, low tech tank since both my 75 & 90 are high light with CO2. I had this 25 gallon and decided to see if I can grow hair grass with only 18 Watts of light. I wanted it simple so the only other plant I put in was java moss since I know this will grow. The val is only there because I didn't want to throw it out and am not sure if it is going to stay or not. I have no idea what I am going to put in here yet but would like some tiny fish such as Boraras sp. or Celestial Pearl Danios but I don't think they would like it without more plants since they come from heavily vegetated areas.
This has been set up only for about 3 weeks and has lots of growing to do yet.

that looks great. good luck with the hair grass.

[EDIT] what kind of branch did you use for the "tree" i was looking to do something similar but was scared to put in just any branch.

Very peaceful looking. The fish you mentioned are actually called Galaxy rasboras, (Microrasbora sp.).

Looks very nice! Keep the updates coming!

I love how it looks. I like your idea of microrasboras. You can also try dwarf danios or flame tetras, which are similar care wise. I would get some shrimp to occupy the bottom. It's begging for trafic

Sorry if I seem picky, I'm not trying to be :joke:. They're actually celestial pearl danios. The name was changed from galaxy rasbora after they found out that they were more closely related to danios.
