I have XM 15000k's right now. I read a comparison of 12 different SE bulbs and the XM15 had the lowest par out of all fired off the Blueline electronic ballast which is what I have.
I haven't found a comparison like this of DE bulbs yet but I am guessing the XM15 DE wouldn't fare much better.
I have heard a lot of good things about the Phoenix 250 14k DE and they are priced quite well at 60 bucks.
My question is, what 250w DE would be a good bulb for SPS and clam growth and $70 or less per bulb.
