12/24/2013 More packages came in this afternoon! Two more plants, My plant encyclopedia and my laterite made it 3 days early!! Hopefully I can prepare the soil well enough so I can begin aquascaping today!

everything is coming together very nicely. The plants will be good if that room is above 72 degrees and you mist them with RO water 3 times a day and make sure that the roots are submersed

Thank You! If I cannot get the soil ready I will be sure to spray the plants 3 times a day. What does RO mean?

RO= Reverse Osmosis. I use distilled water from the store because I don't use very much (maybe 1gal every three weeks) and it costs about 80 cents per gallon.

12/24/2013 finished prepping the soil, mixed it with the laterite, put in the rocks, planted the plants, filled the tank. Not a big fan on how it looks right now. Hopefully it'll look better when the plants grow and the rest of them go in.

Are you getting more plants? I would certainly put in some more fast growers as soon as possible to counteract that initial nutrient rush + with all that light = possible algae overrun

I do have quite a few more plants on the way. I don't know if any are fast growers though? They are not due to arrive until january 6th though.

12/28/2013 Added a few more plants, cut the biyxa, added 3 oto cats because i noticed some algae growth.
