29 Gallon Journal

First of all, ten gallons are ten dollars at wal-mart. And second of all, feeding fry food and baby brine shrimp 3 times a day will get them selling size in no time.

ive actually got it all worked out. im only getting a pair or trio then keeping all the fry in another 10 gallon. would a pair or trio be better though?

probably a trio. theres a better chance a m and f will like each other, and you could get twice as many broods because theres too f's.

it'd be good enough for a while, but you'll continuously have to switch out parents for healthier strains. pick the ones with more desirable traits, breed them, and so on and so forth. i'd make a rule now not to spawn the same pair more then 3 times. in other words, you'll either need to sell the retirees, or set up two more ten gallons. one for retired females, and one for retired males.

after 3 times ill take the 3 prettiest babys and spawn them but take the old parents in with the shipment.

yup. the babies also need to be healthy though. if you do get deformities or sick ones, they'll need to be culled. now, depending on the severity of the deformities/illnesses, you may or may not have to eauthanize the fish. however, you won't be able to sell the fish either. i'd set up another ten gallon for minor culls.
