29 gallon suggestions

Hey, thanks, jm, that's really good to know!! I'd just never seen one able to do it, but they were all younger!!! :p:

you probably already know, but a Blood Parrot will not do well with the African Cichlids for very long. one reason is the differences in aggression(Africans are much more aggressive), and the other is water parameter requirements. The africans require a higher PH, which will make life even tougher for the BP than it already will be living with the African cichlids. Even though I really like the Blood Parrots, you may want to find a better home for it, and make your tank an African cich. tank.

This is my question, if blood parrots mouths are fixed and they can't move them then how do they grab food and eat? Also, do they go ok with clown loaches?

Rosita, all that says is that they have use of them over time and especially when they are over 3 inches, what do they do when they are babies is what I was asking?

when they are younger, (and mine is about 3"), they don't move their mouth much.-you can see its mouth on my avatar pic- thats what it looks like all the time. But they don't have a problem eating -flake food and small pellets- I haven't seen him eat a feeder fish yet. They pretty much just suck the food in and it disappears.
