I picked up a piece of drift wood at the NJ sand hook beach this summer for my new local marine tank. Weeks later a small white organism that looks it might be an anemone popped up and hasn't moved from the spot since. It is alive, tentacles sway a bit, doesn't move much, no idea what it is does anyone have any ideas of what it might be, i never saw it on any of my online searches.

Not so sure, its not clear, doesn't move and there is only the one, for the last half year never reproduced as far as i can tell.
