What is the best type of filtration for a 29g FOWLR?
I currently have a Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filter which filters 200gph.
I also have a Berlin Air-Lift protein skimmer for aquariums up to 60 gallons and a power head, not sure about the specs. Was thinking about adding another because I have an extra laying around, wasnt sure if I would be creating to much motion in the tank? Plus a custom light fixture and a suitable heater.
Also how much filtration will the live rock supply?
WIth the stuff I listed above I have had the tank up and running for a month and a half with no problems. When I first setup the tank I threw in two uncooked dead shrimp and kept them in till they got real raw looking, then added a damsel and a few days later threw in bio-spira, and finally some live rock I got from my brother. The live rock is starting to show a lot of life and all my levels have been steady.
Im pretty handy and was thinking about building a sump, wet/dry, trickle or something else but wanted to see what kind of filtration would be best. Im only planning on adding 15-20lbs of live rock and a 3-5 small fish.
Any reccomendations on which direction I should head with the setup I hope to acheive? Also I didnt list any info on the lighting because I already started a new thread about what would be best.
