29g Planted Journal

Update!

Its been awhile since the last update so here is a new one. I added a few new plants (which I'm not sure what they are), and i added a few fish. This is a very low tech planted tank as you can see. I'm still working on a hood. I'm going to build it myself so i can put whatever lighting i want in it.

Plants

- Java Fern
- Anacharis
- Red Lugwigia
- Corkscrew Vals
- And two other species I'm not sure of

The anacharis got off to a rough start due to chinese algae eaters that tore them up. (they are now gone) But they are coming around again.

Fish

- Guppies (4)
- Albino Bristle nose Pleco (1)

You can see the Pleco in the bottom left hand corner of the tank on a rock. It his his favorite place to sit. a very active and friendly little guy compared to my other plecos. He is about an inch long.

I will post a plant ID post in a minute, so if your good with plants please help.

Your tank looks amazing. I have a 10g tank with the same substrate that has 3 yellow cichlids. I have it piled with rocks right now, but once the cichlids are big enough to move in with the others, I think im gonna steal your idea. I like how the plants and wood look with that substrate.

Thanks!

The plant in the 1st picture kind of looks like Myriophyllum pinnatum aka Green Foxtail but that's just a guess.

Thanks, ill look into that, it just said frill on the tag at the store.

I think it may be myrio as well...the last plant looks like a type of ludwiga, but I'm not sure which one.
