well....my fathers tank that i set up for him (he's been fighting cancer.....so i set up a 10 gallon tank for piece of mind for him.....he's always wanted fish......but is too weak do it himself) finally cycled!
took about 5 weeks to do a fishy cycle.

today.....nitrites finally read 0.....and nitrates are at 5!

ammonia went down a few weeks ago to 0...but nitrites spiked to 2...and i have been doing 50% water changes every day to keep it down for the plattys.

anyway, just sharing my joy....as you guys have helped me cycle my two tanks now. My own 55 gal african tank is doing great, water is perfect now!

its such a GREAT feeling when your tank cycles!!!!! :clap:
 
CONGRATS! On being a great Son AND on finally cycling. 5 weeks is about how long my 10g took too

congradulations if your dad loves it that will help his health cancer curing is here try to look into zeolite medications for your dad its on the net you will see it in the search engine good luck with the tank
