I would stick to the suggested dozen or so. You will soon have several dozen and wonder why you even worried about it. The plants you have in there will easily handle the tiny bio-load. The biggest worry you should have is overfeeding.

Pretty tank. I would also say that you can probably add 10-12 shrimp to start. Soon after (assuming all goes well) they will populate the tank for you. I agree with the above, your biggest worry should be in overfeeding. Have fun!

Nice tank! I think that is an Anubias barteri...just a regular o'l anubias I think. I would go with the 6 shrimp because they multiple like rabbits. Just ask whom ever you purchase them from to make sure you have both sexes.

The tank is looking really good, I think you should add 10 shrimp instead of just 6. The plants will take care of the bio-load. just like Que said.

If you post in the plant section about your anubias. They will help you figure out what it is. It does look like my nana or petite so I can tell you what it isn't
