Yeah, not only that but even people you live with who you thought knew how to feed the fish...dont. My oldest son (late teens) is mildly autistic and I asked him to feed the fish one day. I assumed he knew how because I had been keeping fish for years. When I came into the room minutes later there was a snowstorm of food in the tank. I (calmly)got out the net and had him remove almost all of it.
Sometimes you have to physically show them how much to put it in. A lot of the time it surprises most people how little you actually use.
