My 30 gallon tank is currently fishless cycling and I am in the midst of researching for the fish it will house. I think I've decided on Rainbow Fish, Fancy Guppies, Cory Cats. I have read that all of these get along well but have yet to find any real people that have housed this combination. This tank will be a planted tank with some nice hiding spots.

I have a 10 gallon planted with platys, guppies, and cory's, so I know the guppies and corys will get along well. The corys in this 10 gallon are so funny that I can't imagine not putting some in my new set up.

Any suggestions?

I have never owned Rainbows but those others should be fine together.

One thing to consider is that rainbow fish like to move fast--so make sure you keep open space and that you get smaller rainbows.

I've spent the afternoon doing more research on the rainbows and ran across some posts on here from 2004. They were stating that their rainbows were semi-aggressive. Everything I read previously stated they were good community fish and were peaceful. Thank goodness for honest people posting on this forum. I wanted a peaceful tank, so the rainbows are out of the question now. Back to the drawing board! lol. I still want the guppies and corys , now I just need to figure out what else to go with them.
