Beautiful BC
Pictures from my 30 gallon community tank.

1 - Gold Gourami
1 - Silver Moonlight Gourami
1 - Blood Red Gourami
1 - African dwarf frog
2 - Bala Sharks
2 - emerald green tetras
5 - neon tetras
2 - cardinal tetras
2 - unknown tetras
3 - Clown Pecos
2 - Otto Cats {could be 1 we havent seen in weeks the 2nd which is or was very small }

It has fake plants, some real wood on the right side and a fake stump on the left, a 23" bubble strip on the back wall, just got a 30 " t5 light strip for it {is there a bulb that dosent glow wierd that gives off a clear light?}, a heater, a bio-wheel 200 thats rated for 50 gallons.

:help:Recomendations:help: are much appreciated as the tank is now maturing nicely but have lost a few fish and a frog due to unkown reasons. I had a amonia problem for a while due to overstocking after medication the fish looked great, but the problem is under control right now.
The readings on tests are a steady 7 ph 0 amonia and 0 nitrates
LFS tested it and said the water is great now
I would put the full story of this tank here but its a long story. The key thing is I am planning a upgrade soon to a 90 or 95 gallon set up, just saving the money. The fish are all still young and fill out the tank nicely and it dosent seem overcrowded right now.

Sorry for the bad quality camera.

nice a bit overstocked will in my opinion anyways, Still very nice

colourful !

don't rely on the LFS testing your water - you need a good liquid drop test kit (API is a good one) that tests ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.

upgrading is certainly a priority; hope there is a big tank in your future :)

-1 of the gouramis, the 6" gold or the 6" silver (they'll get that big). The bala sharks will get 12-18" long, AKA 150g+ tank, they like schools.

Is that a COIN in there?! Pic 3??? If so, get it out.

no no not a coin its a pellet for the plecos but the gouramis and balas will fight for the pellet there not too big now they can get that big yesh i know i researched after i bought them it was horrible. now i make myself need bigger tanks so i have excuse to spend that money. im getting a 90 or 95 soon but might settle for a 120 someday but not for a while.
and yes i do have a test kit everything reads 0 to just over ph 7.0 and 80 degrees.

i wouldnt trust the LFS either...it looks like you still may be battling an ammoina and possibly a nitrite problem. if you get a liquid test kit and test the water, you should be able to tell where your parameters really are. meanwhile, do a 50% water change and that will help. that is to much for a 30 gallon, but if you are upgrading to a 125 or 150, it should be fine. keep in mind that bala sharks are known to eat fish that are small enough to be eaten when they get larger

your dwarf (red) gourami is very cool!

lol ill get a frontal pic so you can see Is it normail for bloodred gourami s to be really fat. the blood red is actually wider than the gold gorami??

yes i do have a test kit everything reads 0 to just over ph 7.0 and 80 degrees.

Nice.
