i just got a 30 gal tank and wanted to know what i could put in it,i have a baby pleco im going to put in(im giving him to a good lfs when he gets about four inches)and two female bettas, what would be ok to put in with them.:)
12" wide
18" tall
30" long

thanks

if you really need to put the two females in i would get a few more to spread out agression.
then i would get some mid-dwellers like tetras (you could have a large school of 12 and a smaller one of 8 or two schools of 10 or however you want to as long as there are at least 6 to a school. acctually, you could get 3 different schools of 6 but two bigger schools are better IME)
and some smaller catfish such as corys (get 5 of them)

sounds like a good setup, but i dont have any other female bettas that are nice,im ordering these from candycat, these females are four months old and live together now,if they do start picking ill seperate them, when i give my pleco away could i possibly get a clown pleco?i was just wondering if this is a big enough tank.

fortunately for you, 30G is the max size a 1oz packrt can cycle. they are pretty expensive and this size will run you about $15-$20 depending on which store you get it from. i cycled my 20G successfully with the 1oz packet.

thanks, how fast does bio spira work?

BioSpira should cycle the tank within 1-3 days and should be added at the same time as you add your desired fishload.

A clown pleco doesn't grow very large and will be fine in a 30g tank.
