Been a while since I posted on here. Wife and I are moving to Arizona in Feb and I've been authorized to finally create my dream reef aquarium.
I'm planning on a 300gal and I'm curious as to what my limits will be when stocking something this big?
I plan on getting the tank, getting it in place. Saving up and buying all the necessary equipment (protein skimmer, pumps, powerheads ect.)
Then once that is all plumbed and stable going after my live rock.
I thought it would be cool to include the community on this build. Get input for the type of equipment to buy, the lighting, the stocking, the coral and have the end result be a combined aquariacentral.com creation.
I'll be going with this tank http://glasscages.com/?sAction=OrderForm&sProdID=AQ_300Wide
Depending on the house we buy I might go for island setup or possibly a in wall design. I'd rather stay away from the classic stand.
What would you folks do?
Now I plan on doing this tank the right way sooo it might take me a year, two years, three years to get it finished, but we all know a tank is never finished. The updats might come slow and far between but I promise as soon as this beast gets rolling you won't be disappointed.
Looking forward to sharing this experience with you folks!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
