Okay so....I'm just getting started with my tank. According to everything I'm just about ready for plants. (next weeks purchase) and I wanted to keep a photo log of the progression. Here it is so far....

I have a good idea of what plants I want and where to place them. I purposely left space behind the driftwood for some taller plants ( broad leaf swords and cabomba maybe some crinum nantans) the foreground will have some anubia nana, dwarf aquarium lily and sagitaria and maybe a little java moss.

My stock list: (once cycled) (gradually added)

6 Neon Tetra
4-5 Congo Tetra
2-3 otos
1-2 Kuhli Loach
2 GBR

looks good, keep us updated as you add fish...

Thanks! I think I'm going to nix the Kuhlis and go with a small group of either Peppered Corys or Albino Corys. I haven't decided which yet. I can't wait to start adding plants...atleast then it wouldn't look so barren. But that's next week, then a week or so of cycling then fish....just a few....(I read the stickies)

Thanks for the comments.

I wouldn't put congo's in there as it's noted that they need good amount of swimming space. I wouldn't put them in nothing shorter than 30" in length, MINIMUM. I have 10 in my 90G, and they really use up the space. When I had 2 in my 25L they wouldn't move around much at all, I think because there wasn't much room for them to really swim.

Looks really well, very interesting peice of wood! I cant wait to see stocked photos.

There arnt too many hex tanks on here. Check mine out and drop me a line please. I have to update some photos today too!.

Nice piece of wood, and the tank looks great!
