35 Gal

Tommorrow I intend on buying a 35 gallon, with a heater, light, filter, hood, gravel and stand for $60 all in good/new condition. Needless to say I'm excited.

As soon as I get it and start setting it up I'll post some pics of the process.

Was it used for FW before? Do yourself a favor and test it for copper before using it.

Thanks Grins I'll ask the seller that. Regardless I'm going to clean the tank all day tommorrow . What would you suggest I do if the tank did indeed test positive for high levels of copper?(method of cleaning)

If it tests positive for copper I'd personally only use it for fish. Some feel safe after using poly filters and carbon.

Any stocking suggestions? I'm interested Ocellaris Clownfish(2), Damsels(not sure # or type, and obviously some inverts. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you really just wanted the damsels I would not get them. They can get mean. Also they are a pain in the butt to catch if you have to take them out for some reason.

If you really want damsels check into the Chromis. Personally with 2 clowns in a 35 I'd look at a goby for the bottom, and then fill it will inverts and coral.

I got my tank, only 40 bucks for the whole kit and kaboodle.

Its a bit moldy at the cauking what do you recommend I do to clean this? Also whats the best/safest method to clean the tank?

Vinegar. Use the pure white vinegar and use a solution of it or shoot use it straight. I'd pour a few bottles in there, fill the rest up with water and let it soak a few hours if not overnight.I'd do the same with the other equipment (minus the cords)
