350 Magnum filters?

anyone out there use a magnum 350?

Was thinking of adding one to my 125 setup along with the FX5.
Any thoughts? They seem relatively cheap, are they worth buying?

thought about filling it with some biomax and a sediment type cartridge.

I enjoy mine, use it for water clarifying. Works great, makes a little more noise than my eheim 2026, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I have one one my 125 and it's quiet and works well. Just be sure to replace your O-rings when they start to get hard or they'll crack and leak.

Thought about adding it as a secondary filter, and installing a barb in the intake for a gravel vac...

I've got a HOT Magnum on my 55 planted and it does a good job keeping the water clear and clean.

I have many of them...I feel they are the best canister filter out there. The new "C" series ones are also very good.

I have 3 of them filtering my 150 gallon aqua-glass tank. They have been in service on said tank for about 9 years or so. Never an issue, and they hold up very well. So well in fact, that I will generally go a year before I break them down and replace the media and sponge. They are affordable, rugged, and the only complaint I have is the quick connect compression fittings..it's a real PITA to hook up and not have leak....But If ya for-go the quick connect hardware, and hard plumbed one in, I think you would be quite pleased.
