Hi All.
I have a 4 foot Iguana named Rea that I need to find a new home for. I love her and will miss her very much.
I've been very sick lately and in and out of the hospital with surgeries. During this time my mother has been caring for my pets and she is absolutely terrified of the lizard. She wants it gone. I am not one to give up a pet. Most of my animals are adopted from bad homes.. I just want to give her to someone who can care for her in the way that I am unable to at this time.
Rea is very aggressive at the moment, hissing, tail-whipping and biting. I had her tamed pretty well and even potty trained to go in one spot but during my months of illness I was unable to handle her. With some loving attention she will make a great companion.
She comes with her heat light, uv light and dishes. She doesn't have a cage as she free roams the room. (when she has a cage it will be much easier to tame her) I also have a great book on iguanas to send with her.
An Iguana is not an easy or inexpensive pet to keep. She is a pure vegetarian and cannot be fed insects or meat, even though she would eat them readily. I buy a large assortmant of greens monthly, mix them and freeze them. she also requires fresh vegetables daily.
I am in Northeastern Pennsylvania and am unwilling to ship her, too scary.
If anyone is interested please let me know. Heres some pictures of my naughty little Lizzie.
Thanks,
Sarah
