Gouramies are cool. I've always liked the dwarf neons and honey gouramies. Maybe I'll put the BN plecos in a 29 gallon with a apistos in a 29 gallon on the other side of the room. Thanks, I'll post pics!
This ain't gonna be the most popular contribution, but if it were me, I'd do the cories and nothing else...some wood, rounded river rock and sand. Very simple with lots of bottom room to graze over.
Is the goal breeding the cories or just having a big fun school? You might get away with small, or at least small mouthed, "others". Maybe ember tetras? BNs & apistos, both bottom fish, meh, I vote no to both.
This is an interesting idea. I've kept corys and still own a nice bristlenose. I wouldn't add any ghost catfish, they are extremely fragile in my experience.

Can`t go wrong, both are awesome schooling fish that seldom get given show piece status plus they will rarely if ever interact with eachother.
