I just suggested this in your other post, but I would try your local papers and ebay ( you can search your local area ). You can get great deals sometimes. I got a 180g with everything needed for 300$ on ebay a couple of years ago

you need to get at least a 75 gallon with a 125 gallon being preferable

If you drop more than 200-250 on a 40 with everything, you need to shop around more.

it all depends on whats around you. i have got complete 40 gal set ups with stand filter lights everything for $25 and $40.

Yeah, hook up with the local fish club. I know I see 40 breeder setups being dumped constantly at mine, full setups (sans stand) for $40.
