40 gallon build

i've never seen them live, but the pictures are absolutely stunning. a school of 25-30 would be awesome, but i like having a fish with personality. that's why i'm so stuck on angels.

There's a store that I stop at occasionally that has them, and having seen them I understood what the fuss is about. They're really, really nice looking.

prez. on the last post with your pictures, the first one you said you have no idea what it is, with the thick stalk. It is nesea trifolia.( spelling might not be right but close enough) and the second one with the purple top you werent sure of looks like pogestemon stella(or another species of pogestemon) Im sure others can verifiy if im right or not.

Great looking tank btw

I have a big betta boy in my 20g with neon tetras... He's got tons of personality - but a bit small for a 40g.

What if you went with regular angels - still too short?

CPD don't school really, they're more shoalers. I love their flit-flit style of swimming among my plants. Have you seen danio erythromicron aka Emerald Dwarf Rasbora? Very pretty fish, but possibly shyer than CPD.

Sorry, I'm a mini-fish junkie. :D

D'OH! But the angels would eat the CPD/mini-fish... :(

thanks for the ID's and compliment, fastlight. fishy, i just realized they weren't schooling fish, and that's what i'm looking for. hence the harlequins(:.

But... But... [YT]92fulh4p79k[/YT]

How can you resist??

That's it... You just need to get yourself a 10g. It'd be good for growing out your plant clippings! :p:

Harleys are awesome - gorgeous schoolers!

It looks great!

The plant with the pale purple top looks like Pogostemon stellatus "narrow leaf" possibly Ludiwigia inclinanata 'Cuba'.
