I rememeber reading an article on lighting. It basically said that no hobbyist is going to match the intensity of natural light on the reefs, no matter how many lights they use.

this is true. but then again, not many hobbyiests are trying to grow acros 30 feet down

that will be fine depending on ehwat corals you have. i have a 400 on my 40 breeder (only 16 inches high and then a sand bed) and i havent had any problems. you just have to acclimate the corals to the light and place things accordingly.
