Cool. I knew a couple of the spiny eels stayed reasonablly small, but didn't know which ones. I always wanted to get Lake Tanganyikan leopard spiny eels (Mastacembalus ellipsifer) for one of my rift tanks, but could never find them at a reasonable price. They only get about 18".

half banded spiny eels get 8” at most. My dad said that my eels would get 2’ when every source I found said 9-12”

The peacock eels seem to be comfortable in the tank, poking their heads out in the open. I put in some food before lights out for them to eat.

Right now it’s eco complete black. I’m switching to something lighter in color and smoother for the eels and corydoras.
