40B stock and plans

I’m swapping stock around.
Currently have
14-15 gold barbs of various sizes
2 angels
3 kuhli loaches
6 green corydoras, I want to add more
2 peacock eels
4 platys
1 kribensis
1 featherfin catfish (he’s a stunted recuse)
1 betta, pulling him out

giving away the platys, loaches, angels and kribensis.

New stock will be
Trio of gouramis, gold, blue and opaque
14-15 gold barbs
6 green corydoras, can I add 2-4 more?
2 peacock eels
1 featherfin

You will have no problem adding more corydoras. What do you mean with stunted recuse?

The featherfin catfish was kept with another featherfin and an oscar. The other featherfin catfish was the same age but was larger. The one I have had its fins bit off by the oscar.

half banded spiny eels get 8” at most. My dad said that my eels would get 2’ when every source I found said 9-12”

With a lot of spiny eels, they stay much smaller in the aquarium than the wild. The Burmese, for example, get to around 16” in the wild but usually not much past 8” in the aquarium

The peacock eels seem to be comfortable in the tank, poking their heads out in the open. I put in some food before lights out for them to eat.

I really like how peacock eels do that. I’ve kept a few types of spinys, but the others were usually all the way out or all the way hidden

I sometimes forget that he’s in the tank cause he hides so much.

just did a 50% water change while removing the old gravel and putting the new stuff in. Replanted my plants, replaced the wood and rocks.The tank looks so much brighter! Once it clears I’ll post a picture
