but remember that a lot of fish stores will not label their stock correctly.. and common names vs. scientific are kind of useless for identification too
 
I would take the name with a grain of salt.. verify the name against the fish.


Stores generally just sell the fish as they were sold to them, for better or worse... You need to be able to identify the fish you want.(There are 100s or tyes of Cory though... so good luck)
 
It's a trade name, not a scientific/identified name, so anything goes.
