450 Gallon Starfire glass planted tank with Manzanita wood

good bump!

Reefscape deleted a bunch of posts where all we did was wonder why the user that started this thread updates other threads but not his one... because it was "off topic"

If the "off topic" rule was enforced every time then this would be the most boring forum on the net.

Also, JMO, if they refrained from "off topic" posts of their own I would have more respect for the ruling

Guess all the avatar posts, etc. need to be deleted.

I'm always "off topic"; it's called a conversation.

No, get it right....The off topic discussion was about your avatar, nothing to do with this thread...

Thanks

I just don't see how it negatively affected anything. It seems like most people enjoyed the conversation and the OP obviously didn't raise any objections. The community was using the forum the way they best saw fit. Is this site about the community or what?

I wont waste time going through your old post and pointing out the off topic one's. Which is why I don't understand why you wasted your time policing a thread that wasn't causing any harm and that many were enjoying.

When I have something to update, I'll update, pestering folks is all in good fun(they are interested and that is good), but sorry, the tank is up and running nicely, so the client has not needed me to come down to fix anything, so I have not had a chance to take some pics. Maybe later etc, I do not know. I was suppose to do some other work but the equipment will not help the system further. So I said not to mess with it. I get called when things go "wrong". This tank was set up right and the client has not called back, so that means all is well and good.

I'll see about some pics from them.

As far as me posting elsewhere and not here, see the above again:cool:

:iagree:

I would rather think that we as a forum should enjoy what people take time out of their schedule to post other than constantly pestering with the word UPDATE.

It seems very similar to people entering a chat room and going a/s/l :screwy:

I prefer to sit back and enjoy the fruits of others labours when they post them.

Thanks for the update Tom! I'm glad you took the pestering as good fun! The tank looks amazing and hopefully when your client calls you next it will be to do another project and not because something is "wrong" :)

Can't wait to see the pics when you do go back!

I agree with you chef - there is no way I could have enjoyed a tank like this without the efforts of talented aquarium layout artist like Tom.

In the meantime lets talk about my avatar (kidding) but seriously...

Well, that is the 2 edged sword, I only see the manure...not the nice resultant.

I have a 350 Gal I redid that I'll post in a few weeks, it's old, but I redo it every year for the client. I like it, overall, but still have some upgrades to do to it.

I rarely say I like a tank.
Never quite happy, if you know what I mean.
I'm not even 5% as serious as many assume I am. So it's all in good fun till someone loses an eye or gets too personal with things.

All right !!!!!! I get the drift about changing the tank, seems like every time I change mine , I change it again :)
