46g bowfront

Sorry I posted again but I just found out how much I like how JDs look, and someone recommned them earlier. I saw they can be super shy though is this just people posting before the fish gets accostumed to it's new tank or is it just a very shy non personable fish? Any info or suggetsions on the JD or the questioon above would be very appreciated. Sorry again for even more questions.
thanks again

Hey again everyone thank you all very much for all your replies and help. I've been looking at my LFS's and none of them seem to have any mbuna or malawi cichlids, so I'm thinking this is not going to end up how I intended :( . I'm pretty sure mbuna tank is totally out of the question for me now. So I was wondering what you guys would do with this tank? It'd be cool if I could get a very personable cichlid but then a cichlid that wouldnt mind some other fish maybe a school of larger fish and some cories? Do you think this would be possible, or are there any personable larger fish out there thatd go in a say semi-aggressive community? Any suggestions would be appreciated a ton and thank yo very much for all the help you've given me already.
Thanks

Maybe a Oscar with a Jack Dem.?

Hello again sorry but i have one more question. So i have gravel, a filter, and a heater now and I think i should decide what I'm geting now before i start to decor. So I just came across blue acaras and I thought about gettin 2 acaras, a blood parrot, and around 12 tiger barbs. Would this be overstocked do you think? Ive got an AC 500 running and I'm planning on heavy decor.
Thanks again

a sm JD, some Texas Jeweled & large Green Sevrums?

JDs are a function of how big & lonely they get. I had a super aggressive one way back when. at 1.5", he ate my cycle-danios. At 2" I added a 3.5" tiger oscar. After 3 days of nothing, I came home and found oscar cutlets all over the bottom of the tank. I decided to just have him as a loner, fed him pellets & some live food, 10 years later, he died a 7-8" lonely guy. He was always personable, interested in passers by and would breach for a feeder.

If it was me I would go with 7 maybe 8 mixed african cichlids. And decorate with many cool rocks with plenty of caves. I dont know all the names. But I just picked out a couple of blue ones, orange, yellow............I think the trick is to get them all at the same time and have plenty of caves. I have no riots in my 55 gal. with 9 of em I put in at the same time with many caves. However I did have to get rid of 3 because it got over crowded. Started out with 12.

hello
