I have a 46g bowfront. I am setting it up to be a reef tank.

The only requirement on my stocking is that I have two maroon clownfish.

I would like the following
2 Maroon Clown
1 Yellow Tang
1 Longnose Hawkfish
1 Flame Hawkfish
? Damsels
? Shrimp (I have a cool reddish pink one with thin white stripes in my 12g that I really like)

Comments? Concerns?

I was planning on adding them last. I love the little flame hawkfish. I love how he looks around rocks and whatnot.

Also, how long will a tang take to outgrow the 46g? It is 36" wide.

How many damsels would be ok in this setup? I want a blue, 4 striped, and yellowtail blue damsel. I have those 3 plus a shrimp in my 12g and I love them.

I would skip on the Tang. Just get one Hawkfish and 2 Maroons. These fish all get around 5" and will fill 46g's pretty quickly. Maybe a blenny down the road, just to add something to the lower levels of your tank. The clowns will probably swim all over and the hawk will mostly perch on LR, so a blenny could have the substrate to avoid conflict.
