4g Biorb for betta?

What about a 5 gal Mini Bow? I think they are very sharp.

I would but my wife is already fed up with my tanks. I have a 55g freshwater, 29g saltwater, my oldest son has a 20g and my youngest son has a 10g. I can probably get away with the 5g minibow on the desk but anything bigger right now is going to cause some real problems ;)

Lol, I feel your pain. The 4 gallon is cool looking. I wonder if it would be hard to clean the inside of the glass. Guess you could just stick your hand in there with a scrubber.

LOL, I just set up new tanks when hubby is not home - he never says much, lol. In fact he was the one that found the 30 hex I just got.

I have a 2.5 Mini Bow on my desk (just a few RCS and clithon corona in it) and I like having it right here. It is fun to look over and see what is going on in there.

I have one of the 4 gallon Baby BiOrbs. I got it on craigslist for $25.

I've kept fish in it now for over a year. I've kept mostly male guppies and ghost shrimp in it, but they seem to do great in there.

I haven't tried a betta yet, but I don't think there would be a problem.

The maintenance on these isn't too bad. When the filter is due some maintenance, just replace the media with whatever you want to use. The filter works as sort of a sponge filter/corner filter hybrid, and it seems to work well. It has a coarse round filter sponge on top of a space for media. I use AmmoCarb (mixture of activated carbon and zeolite) and it seems to work pretty well.

I've just moved the guppies out into a ten gallon for a breeding experiment, so I may set it up again as a betta tank.

I use a Marineland 10 watt heater for the BiOrb. It maintains the temp well, and it's easy to route the cord in through the top.

The only drawback to the BiOrb is: you will go through a lot of bulbs for the light. It's a small halogen bulb, and seems to have a short lifespan.

Well I could just get one of these.....NOT!!! I don't know why they make stuff like this for fish or anything else living.
