Waynecav- I've only had the leather for a few days and haven't seen any polyp extension on it.
 
UPDATE: I've had some polyp extension on the leather, first of all.

Second of all, this tank is no more! I got an Oceanic BioCube 8 gallon for my birthday from my dear BF. :) I spent tonight (and much of this morning, obviously) moving the 5.5 into the Cube. I'll start a new thread tomorrow when things aren't so cloudy. So far things are looking good for the Cube!!!

The 5.5 and Coralife 18W light will become the fuge for my 50 gallon reef that is in the serious planning stages (as you can see in my sig). Wish me luck!!!!!:)
