Hi everyone,
I have a 5.5 gallon planted tank with a male and female guppy, and I'm looking to add a couple of more fish. I know my choices/amounts are a bit limited because of the tank size, but I'd like to have at least one other species, and up to as many fish as my tank can handle. Cories and Neon Tetras are potential choices, but I've read that both of these species prefer to be with at least 6 of their own kind, and that would be overstocking considering the size. Any thoughts?

I'm not worried about guppy breeding since my female has already had fry and was easily able to give most of them away (a few inadvertedly became snacks for the male, though). I'm specifically interested in what species besides guppies can fit in my tank.

if you really wanted to add some more fish, you should get a female betta or perhaps another male guppy, but thats it.
no no no. Why would you want to get another male guppy? Is it so they can fight to the death over mating rights with the female? That would be a bad idea in most tanks, not to mention a tiny 5.5 gallon.
