Wondering what my best options are for a small, nano reef for my desk at work. Along the lines of an Eclipse system 6, which has a built in bio filter in the hood and a 12" T5-8 watt bulb. I'd like to keep one or 2 small fish(clown goby) and some of my overgrown softies from my home tank (shrooms, xenia, zoo's) Is the Eclipse system my best bet, or can I not get enough light out of it without modifying the hood? If there is another small 5 or 6 gallon system for reef keeping, what is it? Could I just get a better bulb for this setup, or would I need all new lighting? Any help would be appreicated. Thanks.

I had an eclipse system on my 10 gallon and that work great. I added a DIY moonlight setup and really made it look good.

The eclipse system I'm talking about is an acrylic 6 gallon tank with bio wheel filtration and lights built in, it's everything you need for fish but not necessarily everything for a reef setup. Is there a company that makes a nano reef setup out of the box, lights, filters, pumps, and tank altogether?

the lights might be fine for mushrooms but probably not soft corals.

Thanks wastememphis, I think I found an alternative. A NanoCube 6 is basically all I need, with PC lighting already installed and filtration. About $90 on ebay for the 6 gallon deluxe setup which includes moonlights, seems reasonable.
