5 g aquarium

Does anyone know what other fish I could put in a 5 g aquarium with 4 neon tetras. I was thinking a betta or a shell chiclid or a gourami. Please post soon!

I suggest posting a question in the freshwater forums. But some short advice, neons will not do well in a tank that small, neither wil shellies. A bettas, maybe, but I would go shrimp or snails over fish.

A chilid may get a little big. If you get a Gourami, get a dwarf gourami because any other kind of gourami gets agressive. Maybe a guppy would be good.

You are forgetting there are sparkling gouramis which are much better option in comparison to the dwarf gouramis whose quality has greatly been diminished, thanks to being fed with foods laced with hormones, overproduction and several other factors.

A dwarf gourami needs a larger tank IMO. Sparkling would be ok in a tank that size though.

5 gallons is ok for a dwarf gourami, but by itself.
