I'm thinking of getting a 5 gal all in one kit for my office at work, I would like to put live plants and some fish, mayby even shrimp in it. I have not decided on a kit yet but want tropical, so i will need good filtration, light and heater. Any ideas and sugestions welcome, I'm not worried about cycling cause I have a established 55 gal at home that I can take bacteria from.

I would be nice to have this given I the spend more awake hours here at the office than I do at home.

BTW i do not want to spend a small fortune on this I already do that with my 55 gal....lol

Betta and a 4 white clouds
or
5 white clouds
or
cherry red shrimp tank
or
dario dario would be nice, if you can find them
or
blue platies is a new favorite of mine

do yall have any sugestions on a good all in 1 kit for less that $50

I have been very pleased with my 6 gallon Eclipse. It is easy to maintain and does a good job of filtration. I do a 50% wc every week. It is very condusive to an office environment. I put in a Flourite substrate with some medium to low light plants and everything seems to be thriving. I stocked it with a Honey Gourami, an ADF, 2 platies, a Glofish, an Oto, and 2 Mystery Snails. My original African Dwarf Frog turned out to be an Afican Clawed Frog and he was fond of the Oto. But other than that I have had the tank at my office for six months with no fatalties and the fish seem content. Here are a couple of pictures.

man I cant place it. but its a cheapish arcylic 6g "bookshelf" kit a person did a whole article on it. its really sweet.

they sell that 6g bookshelf kit at petco...I have an eclipse 5 which has turned out to be great for my son. I think i got it for $30.

i'd go for the 6.6g bookshelf, the demensions of it are great, enought that you could have a school of 5 neons/cardinals and a betta.

great sugestions
