lemon tetras need to be in a group of at least 6 anf thats to many for a 5 gallon.

your best bet is going with either a betta or a dwarf gourami and some ghost shrimp.

don't get danios - they need lots of space as they are extremely active (24" minimum).

^__^;; That's why I'm an amatuer hobbyist!! I've never thought of it that way. I kept neons in fivers many times and never knew the wiser. But the clouds would do fine, wouldn't they? I know they are schooling fish, but I've seen groups of three or four that did... well... swimmingly. XP


And... ummm... seems like keeping a dwarf gourami alone in a five-g would be depressed. Mine was always so curious and loved being around the other fishes and when I removed him into a 2.5 for a couple of weeks of quarantine, he lost color and looked... well... sad! O.O

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I might go with a school of dwarf cories. I've always wanted cories.
