Sweet! I've never gone fishing before... seems you can find all sorts of great fishes! There is supposed to be GREAT fishing here in WA. A co-worker of mine gave me some salmon he had caught up here....

I believe they are yellow perch- very common fish that is native to eastern US but introduced for fishing in may areas of the US- look at the anal, dorsal and pectoral fins- not like a sunfish but match the perch. The strips match the perch more than a sunfish. Also since they breed in Apr-May their colors are more dramatic then. I really do think this is a fisherman's lost catch (even the small one- in PA there is no minimum size for them to keep)
