50 gallon leaking!!!!

My 50 gallon corner tank is leaking! I have had it set up for about two months and never had any problems with it but this morning i woke up and heard a tapping noise, well that was not tap the tank is leaking!!! from one of the seams or the bottom. I am in the process of buying a 55 long and don't really have the money to replace this one too! I love this tank and want to keep it can I fix it myself?
Can I just strip the glue and just reglue it? What kind of glue? how long does it have to sit? :huh::help2:

I haven't actually done this myself, but it's been done many times. Aquarium safe silicone (just silicone - 100% pure silicone) should do the job. The tube will have instructions. The tank is glass, right?

You will have to strip out all the old sealent and redo it, but it is possible.

get on doing it asap. a leak can quickly lead to a burst seam or a crack in the glass. i fixed a leak on my tank using aquarium silicon from the lps. the tube was less than $20 and enough to fix the tank, and glue together my sons Cars movie lego set so he'd stop crying that it broke

Aquarium silicone should do the trick.

You'll have to empty the tank to fix it.
First you will need to remove all of the silicone from the inside of the tank, then wash the residue of with white vinegar. The tank will need to be left to dry out thoroughly before you apply the new silicone. Let the new silicone cure for seven days before putting water in the tank and water test the tank for three or four days before you set the tank up again.

Well thanks yall for all your advise! I will say that my first attempt still left one leak but I redid the leaking part and filled it with water and so far so good its been about 13 hours so hopefully shell hold up. I actually kinda enjoyed working on this! I'm actually thinking of building my own tank! Any one have any advise?
