54 Gal Corner Tank Stand

Hey all. I have the attached 54 gal corner tank setup from Petsmart and curious if anyone else has this setup. Curious about the stand and its ability to hold up over time. Should I add extra 1x4 braces inside?

I have a stand that came with a 45 gallon bowfront that I picked up from a friend. It’s been moved multiple times and the stand is sturdy. No give or sway.

Thatvstand is pure wood,not mdf or something.. will be fine

We have 7 or so running for years, just not curner types.

I had a petsmart / TopFin stand designed for 37g/29g/20 longs. It was MDF. It had damage (swelling) around the bottom skirt from filter and tank leaks, but structurally was fine. I gave it away a month or so back along with the 29g on it.

I also have an aquatic fundamentals (I think that's the brand) 48" x 12" stand that is also MDF. Been in use since 2012. I think I bought it through DrsFosterandSmith back then.

Just keep an eye on the stapled joints on your wood stand and watch for any cracking once it ages and dries out. You can always beef it up with more wood, screws and wood glue if need be.
