Ok Everyone I Really Need Some Help Deciding What To Do Here. I Want A Setup With Numerous Fish, That Are Entertaining To Watch. I Was Looking At Some Fish And These Looked Interesting.
Urau Cichlid
Severum Cichlid
Cory Cats
Upside Down Catfish
I Like Babrs A Lot
Silver Dollar
Bala Sharks
I Like Schooling Fish, Could I Set Up Something With 2 Or Three Different Schools Of Fish That Would All Get Along And Appreciate The Same Water Peramiters, Eat This Same Food, And Like The Same Decor? Also Maybe Some Of The Dwarf Cichlids...i Don't Know Much About Them, I Have Only Kept Large Cichlids To This Point And I Want A Change. Something Where The Tank Always Looks Busy, There Are Always Things Moving And Schooling Around. Please Give Me Suggestions, I'm Open To All Of Them And They Are Appreciated.

Do you want live plants? If so, I'd avoid most cichlids. Active schooling tanks are fun. Barbs are a good choice. You could get a school of 7 tiger barbs, maybe 7 zebra danios, and a school of cories. I'd still get some type of show fish, myself. Maybe a pair of Kribs?

A mixed school of Long finned danios, glowfish danios and white cloud minnows would look neat.

Keyhole cichlids, certain gouramis, even some of the more active livebearers like platys, swordtails or mollies. With tigers you have to make sure there is no nipping going on so larger fish that can intimidate them is important as is having a nice sized school of tigers to spread their aggression out amongst each other.

I have a 55 gal with 3 schools of different tetras. 5 neons, 5 sivertips, and 5 serpaes. These are all colorful and fun to watch. I also have a bala shark and a upsidedown catfish but I haven't seen the upsidedown cat since I got him. Synidontis petricola catfish are quite active in the daytime compared to other cats (but a little pricey). You should to decide what temperment of fish you want to have, then do research on potential fish before you buy.

Hope that helps

i'm thinking one of three combos. #1 would look like 7-9 tiger babrs (to keep down aggression), 2-3 bala sharks, 6-7 corys, and another school of some sort of gourami or danio. #2 would include angel fish, i would have to ditch the tiger barbs, what would go well with angel fish? or #3 would bring back the barbs, and maybe some giant danios along with a couple cons. what is everyone's opinion on which setup would be more interesting? i've never kept cons either. the only one one this list i have is tiger barbs and they are indestructible. i have 5 with a 6" dovii right now and they are doing great. befor the dovii they lived with a 6" jack dempsey.
