55 gal

So where exactly on what big mountian is that? Don't you have a town nearby? Have you checked the classified ads for towns near you? Around here, 55 gallon tanks are pretty easy to find used. I would also recommend going with a name-brand tank from a good company like all-glass, Oceanic, etc. Several people on this board have had problems with wally world tanks.

There are also several local fish stores here that will beat any deal wally world can come up and with much better parts.

You can also save big money buying hard items online like heaters, filters, pumps, decorations, etc. I have had good luck with Big Al's and Pet Solutions both... about half the price of getting stuff like heaters and filters locally.

Good luck,

TollHouse...sometimes some fish stores will give you a good deal on a basic 55 setup...because they figure they're going to make out on extra purchases when you're setting up. There is a fish store in my area which specializes in SW tanks and they sell a 55 setup for 129$...that inclues an iron stand, hood and basic lighting. Pretty good deal I think....I love this store too...they have awsome SW reef setups and beautiful stock !

(They know the secrets of the aquarium world.....one tank is never enough....and once you get started, there's no stopping it ! :) )

I strongly recommend ebay... You can search in your local area only/however far you would be willing to drive, and if you are leary about the condition of the tank ask to stop by and see it before you bid, any legitimate seller should not have a problem with this.
