So far, I hope to get these fish into two tanks - 55g and 40g

55g -
2- Firemouth Cichlids - Semi-Aggressive
2- Red Star Flower Horn Cichlids - Semi-Aggressive
2- Double Full Red Cockatoo Cichlids - Semi-Aggressive
2- Bristlenose Plecos

40g -
2- Boesemani Rainbow Fish - Peaceful
2- German Blue Rams - Peaceful
2- Half-Black Angelfish
2- Bristlenose Plecos

How are they going to act together, will they fight or will they interact peacefully?

JD/EBJD

How would a Jack Dempsey/ Electric Blue Jack Dempsey do instead?

so... I should probably just give them some extra room, and also will they breed or will it be just like a community tank? I am guessing they need more room than that to breed but hopefully not

I advise against having 2 flowerhorns in a 55gal. They can get nasty specially with the limited space :)

I may be off in this but personally, I would give a flowerhorn a minimum of 75gal on his own because they can get large. But that's just me :)

Edit-

Sorry, I mean no flower horns, just give the other fish extra room

Your stocklist needs shuffling.

40g -
2- German Blue Rams
2- Half-Black Angelfish
2- Bristlenose Plecos
2- Double Full Red Cockatoo Cichlids

Why are the apistos classified as "semi-aggressive"? I doubt they are as aggressive as most CA and SA cichlids. As for the rainbows, please add more or keep 6-8 as the maximum.

okay, I will work my way towards it, and I'll add a couple more rainbows.
