55 gallon build/journal

aaf, check your messages on youtube. sub me plz

anyway, i think the stock is fine. i personnaly dont like 2 schools of fish in tanks, but you could do rainbows as blue fish.

i dont know i kind of want a small, not so much bio load fish but i dont want cardinal or neon tetras.
some type of livebearer?? idk. check your messages on youtube, and plz sub me back.

k i did, and i want a schooling fish. i might just stick with the cherry barbs bc i cant think of any blue schooling fish i like. opaline gouramis are cool but not schooling fish. hmmm... i can only think of kerri tetras which arent that great.

Hi there! I really like blue fish too, have you thought about mickey mouse platies? Not really a tight schooler, but stay fairly small ~3" for females, smaller for males, and they have different blue types such as mickey mouse, blue wagtail, and this one I can't remember. I like to use aqadvisor for general stocking, and with 1 bp, 1 angel, 2 BN, 10 cherry barbs, and 6 platies, you would be at 115% stocking :) http://www.aqadvisor.com/AqAdvisor....AqSpeciesWindowSize=short&AqSearchMode=simple

Very pretty blues, just be sure to get all males! They are brighter and more colorful generally :)

i didnt really like my platies too much when i had them but its a possibility if i ever found blue ones. i also use aqadvisor for a rough scetch on my stocking.

i couldnt get my moms iphone but i used my phone. i NEED more plants since the blood parrot hasnt been touching them. you can kind of see him in the pic.

Nice tank. Gives plenty of swimming room for active fish.

As much as you may dislike it, Neon Tetras and Cardinal Tetras are always a good option for any tank as a schooling fish that's got blue in it. WIth a 55 tank like that, having so much open space, you could get a shoal (5+) of Boesemani Rainbowfish. Blue Guppys and Blue Micky Mouse Platies are also good choices, male only. I would also note that many discus are blue, but you wouldn't want them for your tank.

Good Luck!

boesmani rainbows might be an option. would this work?
10-cherry barbs
6-boesmani rainbowfish or another similar sized rainbowfish thats blue
1-angelfish
1-blood parrot
2-green bristlenose plecos
1-bulldog pleco(he might be moved or sold)
if that'll work ill have to wait for the rainbowfish since theyre kind of expensive other than australian.

so the i dont think the BP's gonna make it. i found him upside down under a rocks this morning. he's still eating but i dont know whats wrong with him. so if he dies ill have to figure out a new stock bc i wont be getting another BP :(
