55 gallon setting up!!!!!!!

My turbo snails are dead:(! When I first brought them home it looked like they had tissue coming off of them. I didn't worry about it though. Because I didn't know how a healthy snail was suppose to look. Luckily my hermits are okay. On a another note dead snails smell horrible! I wonder if the limpets attached to them had anything to do with it?
 
Awww it looks like one of my hermits decided it didn't like it shell because I found the remains of one of my hermies without a shell to be found.:(
 
I was wondering do you have to buy the same brand of bulbs as the ballast. Or as long as they're the same type of bulb as the brand can you use it. Just curious because the brand my ballasts are the bulbs are really hard to find for. Thanks
 
AWWWW! I found another one of my hermits dead today! I don't know why. He was perfectly intact except for his shell was missing same as the other one. Does anybody know why this happened?
 
That's probably more likely and a lot better too. Anyway.... I had a little trip to the pet store today. I got 5 nassarius snails and the best part my first fish! The little green clown goby is acclimating as we speak has been since about 7:30 so almost time to let him go:) I'll have some pics later I'm just running around like a crazy person trying to find my cellphone right now!
 
Well I thought it was about time for an update. I added a cleaner shrimp yesterday he molted and hasn't come out of hiding yet. You guys were right the crabs were just molting. I counted all seven of them today. Since I put more shells in I could sware this one crab has changed his shell at least 4 times. But anyway all the pictures I try to take of Thumbelina (yes I did name my fish :D) come out too blurry to see anything but here's some more pics of the tank since I've added some more live rock and the diatoms have cleared up.

Well since my green clown goby has been doing well in my tank for about two weeks now I figured it was time for another trip to the pet store:) I came home with a firefish and 4 cerith snails and 1 turbo who are all acclimating as we speak. And I actually managed to get a pic where you can tell it's a fish so enjoy!

I have pods! After noticing them in my quarantine I decided to check out my main tank and what do ya know their there too. I'm so glad I didn't waste 25$ bucks at the pet store on them. :)
