So I found someone who is selling a 55 gallon tank with included stand, decorations and fish for $170. Do you guys think that is a good deal?

depending on what condition the tank is in and does it have a hood and lighting a 55 at my lfs is $100 tank alone

wait, this fish are in the tank already? like this tank is established already? or is it free fish to get later on.

anyways, my 20 gallon with hood, light, and wooden stand was $160, yours doesn't sound bad at all. more info please!

That's about an average price. The tanks I usually see for sale go for around $1 per gal with nothing included and $3-4 a gal with everything included depending on what condition it's in.

For another comparison, I purchased a 55 with HOB double filters, heater, and hood with lights for $160. No gravel, and more importantly, no stand. Sounds like a good deal to me, as a stand is usually more than average filters and heater. Good luck!!!

I got my 55 with oak stand, filter, two heaters, lights and tops, gravel and decorations for $100. I would look around more and chances are a really good deal will come up.

you guys are gettin some smokin deals... my 150g was $600 just glass!!!!

Got my 55g with stand, gravel, filter, decorations and supplies for the a small fee of taking a co-worker out for lunch... Although we have not gone yet. :dance2: :thm: ;) :sim:

I would never buy used, unless it's something like a 300+ gallon tank in mint condition + price.

fyi after the coupons, a 50 gallon seaclear acrylic tank(including hood+light strip) is $207 at petco + bigal's stingray stand $75 you are looking at $300 for everything brand new. And the seaclear tank is MUCH higher quality than whatever used tank that's being sold.

spend the extra 100 bucks, the tank will be with you for a long time
